Service Corner Projects & Events

One-time service projects you can pick up to do on your own, anywhere or anytime you are able to give in support of others in your community. We focus on addressing needs in our own community with projects that are impactful, but also simple enough that people can pick them up quickly. We have two Service Corner locations on campus, located inside Kahlert Village and the Union Building. We are also offering Service Corner Hours scheduled nearly every week this semester.

Ongoing Projects

Dog Toys

Dog Toys for Best Friends

Create dog toys out of fleece for our furry community members at Best Friends Animal Society! Tutorial video included.

Knitting Hats

Knitted Hats for Adults

Volunteers will use a loom to knit an adult sized winter hat for a member of the Salt Lake community in need.

Must have a University ID (UNID) to check-out knitting looms.

Utah Reads Letters

Utah Reads Letters

1 letter + envelope = 1 service hour

    • Monday thru Thursday, 2 to 8 pm
    • Friday & Saturday, Noon to 8 pm

We are NOT accepting plastic bags to use for Bags to Beds at this time. Thank you for your donations. We would love your help on processing those bags into "plarn" (plastic yarn).
