first year experience

Got 15 minutes between classes or a Saturday morning you can spare? The Bennion Center can help you turn that time into a service project that benefits our community and provides you with a sense of accomplishment beyond getting your homework done. Your classroom experience will be deeper and more meaningful when you engage with the community in projects that benefit children, refugees, people who are homeless, or programs with great goals but a shortage of volunteer help. If you’re new to the U, you may want to join the Bennion Center's First Year Experience and build a volunteer experience with other new students. No matter what your interests, or your availability, these projects can enrich your university experience.

Saturday Service Projects

These projects are one time opportunities that address community identified needs. Projects take place on Saturday mornings in September (Legacy of Lowell) and January (MLK Day of Service).
