All of the In-Person and Virtual projects are now full.


 

However, there are still Self-Directed projects available (shown below)

We encourage you to do the projects during the time frame of January 16th to January 23rd.

These are open to everyone and are flexible depending on your schedule.

The following links provide blood donation options:

  • The George Floyd Memorial Fund in the Black Cultural Center was established (2020) in response to a national call for action after the death of George Floyd. With your support, this fund will directly support students and programs committed to advancing the interest of the next generation of aspiring Black leaders such as the Black Student Union, Black Graduate Student Association, African Student Association, National Society of Black Engineers and others.

  •  We encourage you to make your donation during the time frame of January 16th and January 23rd.

  • To make your contribution, click on the link below:

  • A basic bags consists of the following items:
    • 2-pound bagof flour
    • 1-pound bagof dry beans
    • 1-pound bagof rice
    • Assemble items in a plastic grocery bag
  • Items can be dropped off at the Bennion Center Kiosk inside the Kahlert Village residence hall between January 15th and January 23rd.   Kahlert Village is located at 250 S. 1850 E (Just east of the Huntsman Basketball Arena).
    • Hours for drop off are as follows: 
    • Monday- Friday:  2PM- 10 PM
    • Saturday: 12 PM- 8PM
    • Sunday: 1PM- 5PM
    • ***Saturday, January 23: 9AM-5PM

  • A packet of materials which include a trash bag, gloves, and a map of the Jordan River can be picked up Bennion Center Kiosk inside the Kahlert Village residence hall between January 16th and January 23rd.   Kahlert Village is located at 250 S. 1850 E (Just east of the Huntsman Basketball Arena).
  • If you would prefer to use your own materials and save a trip to campus, you are welcome to do that as well.
  • If you are choosing to use your own materials, keep the following in mind:
    • DO
      • Enjoy the trail
      • Pick up litter and trash
      • Check out myjordanriver.org for trail highlights and add your own
    • DO NOT
      • Pick up piles of personal belongings or bedding
      • Pick up needles or sharps without proper disposal container
  • There is no need to bring any of the materials back, but do properly dispose of the materials.
  • Hours for the kiosk are as follows:
    • Monday- Friday:  2PM- 10 PM
    • Sunday: 1PM- 5PM
    • ***Saturday, January 23: 9AM-5PM

  • The Salt Lake Education Foundation is looking for book donations for ages newborn to senior in high school.  The foundation is particularly in need of books that highlight diverse characters.
  • Items can be dropped off at the Bennion Center Kiosk inside the Kahlert Village residence hall between January 15th and January 23rd.   Kahlert Village is located at 250 S. 1850 E (Just east of the Huntsman Basketball Arena).
  • Hours for drop off are as follows:
    • Monday- Friday:  2PM- 10 PM
    • Saturday: 12 PM- 8PM
    • Sunday: 1PM- 5PM
    • ***Saturday, January 23: 9AM-5PM

  • Any of the following items in any amount would be appreciated. Items must be new.
    • Underwear for any age 0-18
    • Diapers (Size 4 and 5)
    • Pullups
    • Socks for any age 0-18
    • Menstruation underwear (any size)
  • Items can be dropped off at the Bennion Center Kiosk inside the Kahlert Village residence hall between January 15th and January 23rd.   Kahlert Village is located at 250 S. 1850 E (Just east of the Huntsman Basketball Arena).

  • Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated.
  • Here are some items in particular that we are looking for in case you need ideas:
    • Peanut Butter
    • Canned meat such as tuna or chicken
    • Black Beans
    • Pasta
    • Pasta Sauce
    • Hygiene Items
    • Macaroni and Cheese
    • Granola Bars
    • Jam or Jelly
    • Boxed dinners such as hamburger helper, Knorr rice side or pasta side
